I have a client with a DK40 system with a Stratagy VM. There system is maxed out and they desire to add another phone. I want to consider upgrading them to a DK424. Is this a good idea? Is the program DKi Quote readily available for this purpose?

dkquote is for toshiba dealers if you are a dealer you can probabley get it on the web site. that being said when i was working for a dealer we never used it. just looked the parts up on the cost sheet and quoted the job. if you are not that experienced with toshiba get some help from sundance(click on equipment at the top of page)

I would go with a CTX100 or CTX670 depending on what capacity you need and what cards are to be installed. We haven't sold a new DK in years.

Thank you Martin for your insight.

Junkman, I was hoping to reuse as much of their existing equipment as possible. The CTX series seems to be purely digital and I have no certification in the Toshiba equipment at this time. (actually I would rather put them into a new Nortel MICS for which I am trained in.)

I hope my paranthentical comment didn't offend anyone on this board!!

The DK40 is digital as well. However, it sounds like the only equipment you can use over are the phones. Unless you have a PDKU, RSTU or RCOU.

Dont you have a 424 cabinet with a BA/BB processor you can part with?
If the 40 is maxed what cards are in the expansion cabinet? If there is a PDKU or RSTU they can be moved over to the 424 cabinet.
