Is there an easy way to find out the version of a XX (might be a XXe).
Has anyone ever successfully put a 3rd party VM on this system?

Don't even try it. I've done it and it works like garbage. Upgrade to a 280/424 and use PEKU's and keep your phones if you must. Andy https://www.teleco4.com

Once I put an ESI Voiceworks on a XX. I have had less painful divorces.
