I was at a customers premises yesterday and their Fax machine had an interrupted dial tone, I don't know for sure but is there a catch all # code to cancel all programmed features, or can I reset the programming of the extension by a similar # code.

I have managed to reset the extension by deleting it and re-programming it. This appeared to be the easiest option as it had no programming to worry about and it seems that there is no cancel code for any programmed features

The port probably had a message waiting feature set on it. You could have tried #409.

They don't make many if any internal calls at this site, its an outbound call office, they don't have voice mail. What I think may have happened is someone has tried to fax a number within their speed dial list and pressed #6.. and probably ended up with a call fwd. I didnt want to have to ask the customer to go through several hash codes before finding which one it was so just deleting and reprogramming the extension was the easiest option
