You will have to forgive me for I'm totally new to this forum and this CTX670 without even a minute of training.

How do I change the Display name on a Toshiba Telephone from the CTX670? I was told to change it in the Station, Assignments, and 09 Station Name....

Currently all that is there are numbers and letters, If I take the numbers/letters out I can put in ONLY 8 characters.

What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Brandon

Ver 2.20 or lower only supports 8 characters. V 2.21 and up allow 16

Sounds like you are using Winadmin. Go to Operation, System Setup to see what you are running.

Looks like I'm running AR2.22 MH227.00

Any Idea what could be wrong?

I did notice this: Cannot be entered from DKT in R1

That is what is says when I hover over "09 Station Name"

I'm running Version 2.20B.02 for Strata CTX WinAdmin, if that makes a difference.

That could make a difference. You have the latest ver on your CTX, but an older ver of WinAdmin that may think there is still an 8 character limit..

You can run into problems if your WinAdmin is older then the CTX version. Latest is 2.22A.20

With that version on the CTX you can change the DN names from any display phone.

In WinAdmim, pick any extension (DKT), go to the DKT properties and enable "34 Administrator Phone".

Then go to that phone and hit the "Mode" button, then "Admin" (on the display).

Type in the password (usually default, hope you know it).

You can change the names of every extension from that phone.

Let me know if you need more detailed instructions..
