I have a CTX28 new install (it got dumped in my lap, I know better to install a new switch without prior training or experience) where I have enabled day/night control under the system settings, and placed a night call forward button on extension 200. When I push the night call forward button it asks for a mode and shows 1. I am used to the night call forward button just turning on and off. What dumb little thing am I missing?

On the CTX, the night button has 3 modes. 1=day1, 2=day2, 3=night. Push the night button then whichever mode you want, usually 3.
I've got a system that uses all 3 modes, day1 rings receptionist, day2 rings all phones, night goes straight to auto attendant.

well I see that it has modes, but I guess my question is where do I set the parameters for mode 1 2 and 3? Right now it shows 1 under Mode but the night call button isnt lit so I know its not engaged.
So 3 more detailed questions:
1. Where do you set the parameters for mode 1 2 and 3?
2. After pushing "Night Transfer" how do you enter the different modes? (just push 1?)
3. How do you know when its working properly? (will the Night Transfer button stay lit?)

1. Trunk Assignments, DIT tab, set left column to Dialed Digits and Right Column to extension number to ring for each mode. (only do the frist three. You don't need the DATA ones) 2. Just push Night "1" for day (no light), Night "2" for Day2 (Noght button flashes), and Night "3" for Night Mode (Night button on steady). 3. I guess I answered that in #2. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif) ------------------ Toshiba Technical Support at: fingerlakestelecom.net [This message has been edited by Voyager (edited June 15, 2005).]
