Howdy,
I am aware that when accessing the IVP8 remotely using version 3 remote access software on the version 4 voicemail card you can corrupt the database and cause the IVP8 to "freak out". My question, what can I or another technician look at on the IVP8 card to confirm which version of software is running on the card? Also has anyone else seen this problem? Is the version 4 completely backward compatible?
Thanks,
Ira

No it is NOT backward compatible. Look at the card itself. If there is a beige colored metal plate on the face of the card with "IVP8" printed on it, Thats a Rel. 1. Use Admin 3Z. If there is no metal plate on it, you can see the leds coming right off the card, thats a Rel. 4. Use Admin 4X. The 4X software is also required on the CTX28 voicemail.
