what should someone do if they dont want to hear the complete standard greeting in your mail box. Say they want to skip the greeting and start leaving a message. Also, how can the operator send someone directly to the voicemail, without ringing the ext.

You can skip the greeting and go straight to the beep by pressing * (star). One way to transfer to vm directly is to press CNF/TRN while the caller is on the line, dial the vm pilot number, wait for vm to answer, then dial the mailbox number plus a 1 (or any digit) and hang up.
