DID coming on PRi from telco at Main building on cix670 is routed via qsig to external building on cix100 just brought up today..
Phone call rings, caller id is passed, 1 out 3 or 4 times we can talk to the caller. Most of the time no voice. this is occuring with outside callers only...
internal calls station to station not a problem. Having the call routed to another building answered and then transferred into building not a problem...
placing outbound calls not a problem
Cisco switch 3550 being used over 1 gig fiber connection, 1 ms ping time between locations, no routers inbetween, and bandwidth not exceeding 1.2 megs on the ports being monitored during dropped calls
Bipu was switched out and qsig has been reset Need to know what else to look at
Thanks

Are you using a BPTU or an RPTU for the PRI? What slot do you have the BIPU-Q in?

third slot for bipu
the network consists currently of the 670 at the one main building and 100 at the outliying buildings. The toshiba configuration has worked at all locations brouhgt up except this one.
this is the last location of 7 before bringing up the other main location that will have another 670 and pri
my concern is the cisco switches 3550, i doubled checked their configuaration and noticed that port tree spanning mode is not set to pvst at the location that is having this issue as it is in other locations.
also mls qos appeares in only two of the switches in the network.
Sorry now have this additional info and am researching if this is causing the problem..
any insight would be appreciated...
I know that spanning tree deals with path redundancy and preventing muliple links...
have you seen this problem in switches without spanning tree mode set to pvst?
