After updating my Windows XP Pro system via the normal Microsoft Updates, the eManager no longer works. When you click on the shortcut, the browser opens up, begins to load the page, then immdeiately closes.
Same thing happens on numerous Win 2000 SP4 systems.
Is there some kind of security patch that was applied that is responsible for eManager not working any more?
For curious sake, I built a new system with XP Pro and did not update it. Installed eManager, and it works great. Anyone have any advice?
thanks.

probably a long shot, but, have u checked the firewall settings? If the update u've installed is XP SP2, chances are, firewall is turned on.

SS - The new system software is version 3, starting with MK024, that changes the CTX to a CIX. You need a new admin program to connect to the version 3 software (eManager). The latest software that WinAdmin will connect to is MH227.
Yet another update to confuse everyone.

A2Xprt, what you are experiencing is a Windows XP feature. Hold the CONTROL key down as soon as you double click on the icon. Eventually it will load.

If the page immediately closes, most of the time it is a popup blocker of some type.

Also, if you have IE7 installed, remove it, and revert back to IE6.

If you remove it under add remove in the control panel, it should go back to IE 6, from what I read. If it doesn't work, then I guess we won't hear a reply from you.
