I just installed a DK40 with all new wiring in the building. Everything was working fine when i left however i recieved a call today stating extension 15 or logical port 005 is dead no lights on the phone no lcd display and nothing works. I visited the location verfied the jack was wired correctly and checked termination on the other end everything checks out ok. I have verified the jack works by jumping another extension over to it and i have also verified the phone works by plugging it into another extension however i cannot get ext 15 to power up. Is there something i can do i have to revisit the customer tommrrow to trace a CO line from the MPOE to the building. Any help would be grealty appreciated.

I know you had said you checked all the wiring, but have you checked to see if maybe your color code is crossed on the block?

I know for a fact its not crossed on the block because it worked previously then just quit.

Could be that the black/blue,blue/black pair (port 005) is loose on the punch block. It's happened to me before. Try another tail with the pair wired directly to a jack.
