Could someone help me with pointing a T1 DID to an ext. I've never done it on a Toshiba and a customer wants to point a DID to a Fax machine for incoming faxes, presently being used for outbound only. I have a 424 manual but need some direction, I would appreciate any help.

Welcome to our little community. You will find a wealth of information here.
Before entering programming mode, you will need to know what extension number the fax machine is on and what DNIS digits are being received for that DID number. How many DID's are programmed in the switch now?
If you have never programmed a Toshiba before, T-1 DID's are not the place to start. With all due respect, It may be wise for you to contact one of the moderators for programming assistance off-board. You will find that telephone support is very cost-effective.
Good Luck......

Thanks for the reply. In answer to your inquiry, I have done 424, 280 and all the old strata boxes over the years, just not a T1 on a Toshiba (all "pots") but I don't have any present customers that have Toshibas and I guess I've kinda of settled in on Avaya, AT&T and Nortel because thats what most of my customer base has. I have the ext. # and the DID I need to point, the range of DIDs which is unimportant except to know that my DID is in that range and looking at the range 3 or 4 digits is probably what is be being sent, I'll figure it out and I understand if no one has the time to walk an OLD guy thru the steps and I'll just get it done like I always have....hit the manual. Thanks anyway maybe next time.

Terribly daunting, open your manual, go into Program 71.
71-0 You find an empty bin, (starts at 000) and assign the DID number in that empty bin. (3 digit, 4 digit, must match length of other dids.)
71-1 For that bin number assign what port the DID should ring in Day 1.
71-2 For that bin number assign what port the DID should ring in Day 2.
71-3 For that bin number assing what port the DID should ring in Night.
That was so hard, I'm perspiring from head to toe.

Yep, I have the same setup like you do. I'm still playing around with PRI thiniggy. Right now I want to remove the Supervisor mode. Anyone know how to?
