I searched through the posts for issues connecting. Tried everything I found but no luck. I have connected to it in the past.

I had to reload my laptop's OS and software and now nothing.

I'm tring to connect to my CTX using winadmin when that failed I loaded Emanager there I failed too.

Im using my laptop with windows xp pro. I can ping my switch no problem. Retyped communityName
hundreds of times to no avail. All I get is a general error can't connect. Also I have cycled the power on the switch.

I can connect to my IES32 with no problem. I am NOT running any firewall. Windows firewall is disabled NO spyware dector or antivirus.

It may be obvious, but do you have Management and Monitoring Tools installed?

How about Antivirus script blocking?

You might also want to check the laptop's IP address, and if it is close (the first 3 octets) to the IP address of the switch.

The Ip address of laptop and switch are both on the same class c subnet. No antivirus scripting is installed that I am aware of. I am running Win XP with SP2 and I turned off the firewall.

Any other suggestions ?
