Hello gentlemen, I have a problem with one of my lines. I have an strata dk 424 phone system with the the stratagy voice mail box. All my phones ( lines) work good but there is one particular line (209) that does not automatically go into voice mail when someone calls it and nobody picks up. In my other lines if someone calls and no one answers then voice mail picks up after 4 rings. But line 209 jsut keeps ringing and voice mail does not pick up. I even went to the Stratagy Admin , deleted that user id 209 and recreated it by copying it from another line that works. Still no luck. Funny thing is that when I call the main building number and I ask for extension 209, the line (209) keeps ringing and no voice mail picks up, but if I call the building and let the automated system pickup and then enter extension 209 to get transfered ( wiht out using the live operator) then voice mail DOES pick up after 4 rings....can anyone tell me what am i doing wrong?? is there a seetting or something that I need to change? Thanks

There isn't a way to enable or disable a mailbox unless you delete the mailbox form VM. It sounds like there is an issue with the call forwarding or the ID codes on ext. 209. Couple of questions:
1. If ext. 209 is busy, does a call forward to VM? 2. Do you know if you are using DTMF (requries ID codes on every phone) or SMDI (no ID codes) integration for the VM?
You can try this:
At ext. 209 delete the current call forwarding by **leaving the handset in the cradle** and pressing the Int. button then the # button and 601 followed by Redial then the SPKR button. Then, reset the call forward by: **leaving the handset in the cradle** and pressing the Int. button then the # button and 604 followed by the main VM extension number then the speed dial select (SDS) button then redial then the SPKR button.
Hopefully you followed this! If not, send me an e-mail!!
