I've got a client that makes frequent conference calls, on the fly, involving the geriatric set. With their hearing loss & long distance C.O. line loss, the outside callers, at times, have difficulty hearing each other. Since these calls are typically made at a moment’s notice, an external conference service is not possible. Other than adding a PEKU and an external amplifier, is there a quick-n-dirty alternate I could pursue?
Thanks! -John

Do you have centrex lines? Use the centrex conferencing if you have it. If not, try calling telco and ask if they have 3-way calling where they charge you on a per-call basis.

I believe they considered that & were stymied by the lack of a "hook-flash" on their phone. I'm going to go and rectify that....
Thanks!

There is supposed to be amplified conference on the 100, but mine is so crappy I hate to use it and I have 3.something software and even the head "engineer" of a local dealer tells me it is set as good as it can be. It also lets out a horrible screech when one party hangs up. Whatever you do, don't upgrade to get the the "amplified" conference.
You could also turn the last line into a Centrex line and take it out of the incomming rotary and the outgoing hunt group.
You could still call out on that line and not convert everything to Centrex.
