As long as you have the single line card ,that supports your standalone v/m a Telekol or Voicegate should integrate easily.
What v/m is dead maybe you could replace the drive and bring it back to life .

How many ports are they using, 4, 6, 8?
The Amanda integration to to Toshiba is very easy and the original Toshiba and the original Amanda was based on the Macrotel so other than some fancy features they program pretty much the same.
Personally, if you want the customer to be able to administer the system, I believe the Amanda is easier, if you want to push the customer to come to you, the Toshiba, Telekol or Voicegate would put more money in your pocket as they are not as "customer friendly" in terms of programming outside the greetings and mailbox user functions.
The Amandas are easy enough that I could walk you through installation over the phone no matter if it is a Soho, a Work.place or a Work.group.
People have different and valid opinions about what to use, we just like the Amandas because a customer who wants to roll their own can most likely do so and we don't like to push them into service calls, just not reasonable and kind.

Not sure of the voicemail that was on site, old vendor took. They where suppose to repair it and said it was not repairable.Just got word that voicemail system is working, but no one has passwords for it.
What about software for programming phone and voicemail systems?
Thanks again, JJ

Just a short answer while waiting for the pros to chime in. You can do most programming of the DK280 through a phone. You can use DKAdmin software but you will need the dongle. I do not remember what you need for a DOS for DKAdmin to function, but I am fairly certain it will not work on Windows XP. It is old enough, it might even require MS-Dos.

If it is indeed running, it will have a name on it somewhere, at least one would hope so. Trying to give you passwords to an unknown voicemail is not within the realm of realistic guessing.
When you know the name, post it and most probably one of us will be able to help.
What kind of programming is it that you need to do?
