I have SES version 5.063. I have a v/m box Set to "delete on send," however, it is not deleting the messages. The v/m's are being sent and received correctly. I've restarted the SES and unchecked, saved and rechecked the delete on send button, but it's still not automatically deleting the messages. Any ideas on trouble shooting?

What is an SES? A Toshiba product? A third party voicemail?

Maybe you want to move this to the voicemail section.

Bunnie, SES is Stratagy Enterprise Server. Are you talking about the "delete on send" in unified messaging or the "delete after copy"?

On the new version 4.6, they removed that feature. If you connected with admin ver 4.017 you will see the option under UM, but checking the box will do nothing. If you connect with Admin 4.6 the option is gone (Even if you connect to an SES 4.018)

There is a Hot Fix that will allow 4.6 to delete on send. I had it emailed to me directly from Toshiba tech support.

But now that I reread your post, I see that you have ver 5.063, so I wasted all this typing. But maybe this will help someone else. Is this on a MAS?

The new ES's & iES32's are shipping with ver. 5 running on either Win2k or XP, same as the MAS. eManager can program the ver. 5 ES but not the ver. 4.

I have not seen that yet. Ver 4.6 just came out not that long ago. I know that ver 5 has been on the MAS for a while.

I'm talking about the delete on send, to answer your question, phonemeister.

We did upgrade SES. I guess I should have mentioned that. Where did you find a hotfix for this?

Toshiba Tech support emailed the hot fix directly to me. One of out techs applied it. I have not seen it anywhere on Toshiba's site yet. I still have it in my Gmail box.

I'm not sure that would help due to the version difference. Fairly sure it wouldn't, to be honest. If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know.

I looked all over the Toshiba site and the latest version they show for an SES or IES is ver 4.617. The ver 5.063 is listed as being for the Stratagy MAS. Did you download the upgrade from the Toshiba site?

I also doen't see when that version was released. If it was close to when 4.617, then they might have removered it on that version same time. When they addded IMAP support, they removed Delete On Send because they thought they didn't need it anymore.

And you are right, best not to apply a fix made for ver 4.6 to ver 5.0.
