The greeting mailbox 990 was accidently deleted while trying to reset the mailbox password. The voicemail will no longer let me access any menu through a handset however I can view, add, change all the compact flash files on my PC card reader, can someone tell me how and where to restore this file?
Thank you, Ken

They really need to change the order of the administrators box to have "Reset User's Security Code" option come before "Reset User". I have to keep telling the admin user to NOT press the first option. You will loose your greetings, etc..

The Stratagy IVP8 or DK (Which I am guessing you have) runs on DOS which doesn't have a trash can. I'm pretty sure your options and greetings are gone and have to be recorded and setup again. For that you would need the Stratagy Administrator software for your voicemail system.

If there wasn't much activity on the Stratagy after the mailbox was reset, your computer guy might be able to retrieve the file using a disk editor.

In the IVP8, you can look under the tools section and the system settings. There is a option there to where the call will be sent to when it is first recieved. If all else fails in your quest to recover 990, you can always change that field to another mailbox. Just make sure whatever box you choose has 991 in the done chain and it should work the same. DND needs to be turned off and locked and the same goes for call screening. Record your message on greeting one of the new mailbox and set the recorded greeting to be the current.

Hope that helps if you need a work around.
Mike
