I am trying to setup the dial by name directory by pressing 411. Not all the employee voicemails go to where they need to be. Can someone help me out.

What is the voice mail? A Stratagy Dk, or stand-alone?

The names typed into the mailbox need to match the proper extension and the name recording needs to be correct for the extension. If you don't have the admin software you may be able to spell out the name in the admin mailbox.

You should be able to change the spoken name by listening to options in the individual mailbox.
I also think you can spell your name in the individual mailbox, not positive.
An easy way to try is to go into mb 999 and create a new mb. Then see if you can set it up by putting in first and last name.

Bunnie, you are right. On a newly-created mailbox, the creator has the option to spell the mailbox owner's first and last names using the keypad. But if you just want to change the names, then you have to use admin. :confused:

I found out that, under the admin box, if you ADD a mail box that already exists, you can add or change the directory name, and extention, and it will not overwrite the greetings, settings ect..

Thanks newtecky. It worked like a charm. I guess when some people went to put in their name for the directory, they must have fat fingers, and typed in the wrong numbers. All is well now. This forum is great.
