Where do i program a newly installed rstu to dial 9 to access the trunk group lines. I am suprised that it does not do it by default. Tell me I dont have to program LCR. What happened to the simple prog 16 in the DK series? Can I use a trunk access code instead?

Thanks.

By default, 9 will uses LCR, and uses OLG 1. You could use trunk access if you want, but if that one trunk is in use, then you will get busy.

You could create new codes to access different OLGs. You could change 9 to use a different OLG. You could also change LCR to do what ever you want it to do.

With version 4 software there's options for intercom/co preference and what co/olg to grab for analog ports.

Are you wanting the phone to automatically grab an outside line instead of intercom?

Basically, when a phone, dkt or analog dials 9 from the intercom tone, I want it to grab the last line, or next available line in the olg.

Used to be simple....Not so anymore.

Simple, program 300. fb12 Hunt order. set the last line to 1, fore last to 2 etc.

FB03 to Line group 1, which is the dial 9 group.

I've always put analogs in OLG 1 and I've never had a problem with it grabbing the last line. By default it grabs the last line (or according to the hunt order as mentioned above)of outgoing line group 1.

And technically, OLG 1 is not the dial 9 group by default. It is LCR, which is set to use OLG1. If you modify the LCR table, you can have it use different line groups. As Phonemeister said, check to make sure that they are in the same LCR group as the DKTs, etc, under station assignments program 200.

If you want, go into the Flexible access codes and change 9 to use OLG 1 (or whichever line group) and you won't have to worry about LCR ever again.

So what happens when you dial 9, fast busy? You won't hear a second dial tone.
