Wow am I confused now. I purchased a Stratagy Flash with 4 ports, I have it in my hands now. There is no phone card for it, I think I missed a piece. After speaking with a whole bunch of people one person has told me I need KSTU2, another has told me to get an RDSU & RSTS, and yet another told me RSTS2 & RRCS4. Can anyone clarify this for me please on what I should purchase to interface with the Stratagy Flash 4? I have the following:

(1) DKSUB280A - Base cabinet
(1) RCTUBA3
(1) RCTUBB4
(1) PDKU1
(2) RCOU1
(1) RCOS1
(1) PIOU1

Thanks
Chad

If you had single lines coming to the old system you plug them into the new system.

You can't use a KSTU in a 280 only in the flat cabinets such as DK16/16e/40/40i, what was that person smoking?

You should have a RRCS daughterboard ON the RCTUBA3 card for touch tones, you have this, don't buy another.

You don't have a RSTU or a RDSU listed in your cards, so you wouldn't have an old voicemail working unless it was an answering machine that was plugged into the dial tone itself, not the Toshiba.

Or, you have a card that is not listed above that ran the voicemail.

You are down the street from me, I'll PM you with my phone number.

You may still need the RRCS as it supplies touch tone on analog station ports and you currently do not have an analog station card on your list and none of the other cards require it. It will be required for your voice mail to work

You had a PC Voicemail didnt you? As bunny stated you hook up the flash to the same 4 ports that the old voicemail was connected to.

Based on the cards you listed, you currently don't have an analog card, which you would need to run the Flash. You will need the RSTU card. It has 8 ports, but you will only be using 4 for the VM. You will also need the RRCS DTMF receiver card (4 ports) in order for the VM to function correctly - especially if you intend to use it as an Auto Attendant!!!!

So, here is a rough summary of the system and the type fo DTMF cards you require for each version of the Single Line card

System SLT DTMF
DK8 QSTU QRCS
DK16 KSTU K4RCU
DK16 w/Exp RSTU K4RCU
DK28 KSTU K4RCU or K5RCU
DK28 w/Exp RSTU K4RCU or K5RCU
DK280 RSTU RRCS-4/8/12/16
DK380 RSTU RRCS-4/8/12/16
Strata CT RSTU BRCS-4/8/12/16
CTX28 GSTU Built-in?
CTX100 ASTU (Asia) ARCS (free 4 DTMF license)
CTX100 RSTU ARCS (free 4 DTMF license)
CTX670 RSTU Built-in (4 license free)

I am not sure about the CTX series, though

Did you mean to say you are spacy?
It was nice of you to take the time to do that.

The old VM system that I had was a keystone system, and evidently when it went out the card was pulled and thrown away with it. I have hunted high and low and I cannot find any sign of it, but I do vaguely remember the phone guy pulling it. Anyway I will give you a call Bunnie.
