Hello,
We are using CTX WinAdmin 2.22A.09 for administration of our current Toshiba system. We would like to add a user who is not going to be onsight and not using a physical port in our facility but requires a remote voicemail box that he can administer remotely and a DID # corresponding to a defined internal ext.(1773)
Any help would be much appreciated.

Create a Voicemail box. You didn't specify which VM system you have. You can't add it with WinAdmin. You may want to turn on DND in the voicemail box.
Next, under Trunks, DID, assign the DID number to your Voice mail pilot extension, with the VMID as the box you just created.

Make sure you disable message light notification on Phantom Mailboxes. I've seen the Stratagy lock up ports trying to light a light when there is no actual phone out there.

Newtecky, We are using Stratagy Admin XADM 4.0 for our voice mail processing. As I'm more of an IT guy and not a phone system person and had the unfortunate luck of "inheriting" administration of the phone system, I do not know what DND is or where to find it. More information would be appreciated.
Dan, Where would I find the disable message light function for Phantom Mailboxes? Is it in the voice mail application or in WinAdmin?

We are using Stratagy Admin XADM 4.0 for our voice mail processing.
That is the administration software for the voice mail. If you have that, then you should be able to connect directly to the voice mail to do what Voyager and Newtecky have suggested. There is a toggle in the voice mail for each mailbox for DND. Also, there is a notification section in each mailbox where you can turn off message waiting lamp notification.

Hello,
I have succeded in setting up the voicemail box and found the entry to turn off DND, but was unable to find the message light notification entry to disable it. Could someone fine tune the information and tell me where it is or if the field entry listing is something other than "message light notification" under the XADM 4.0 application?

While you are in the mailbox you created, in the admin program, notice the "tabs" across the top. One of them should say notify. Do an Alt-N, and the notify screen comes up, where you will be able to disable the message waiting notification on the phone. You can also enable notification via cell phone, etc, using the templates provided. Hope this helps!
