Hi,
I'm trying to get a Multiple Call Group to roll over to VM. It has a box for the Voice Mail ID and I'm not sure what I need to enter there. I tried the extension # but that didn't work (all phones in the group just rang endlessly). I'd like to have the call roll over into VM after a few rings. Some details:
eManager 4.12A05
Toshiba CTX100
All group members ring immediate
Stratagy VM IVP8(?)

TIA

You need to assign a System Call forwarding in FB 04, same as an extension. You should make sure System call forwarding is setup correctly too.

Alternately, I've put the Voice mail pilot extension number (the extension # you use to call the voicemail system) in as a delayed ringing in the MCG table. It will only open MB 990 in the voicemail (not the box assinged in the VM ID box).

I have heard of certain SW versions that had a problem when an extension in the MCG had their Do No Disturb on, caused a MCG to not forward to VM.

What software version is the switch running on? Like Newtecky said, on older versions of the software, DND played havoc with the System call forwarding to voice mail. It should be upgraded to get rid of that annoyance. Toshiba recognized it after so many people brought it to their attention.
