Has anyone come across these older NEC 280's that like to drop calls in this way...
1. Incoming call on any CO taken by any station.
2. call is put on hold.
3. An instore Page is made, hang up from Page & the CO line put on hold drops.
This does not happen all the time or at any specific station or user...totally random & I saw it happen, but can not re-create.
4. Line 5 has dtmf at the system, yet has no dialtone on pickup for use/ the relay clicks & the line light lites. If you CALL the # for Line 5 it rings twice & then dead air to the caller, & nothing when picked up at the system phone.

Thanks for any ideas! This is a real head scratcher for me.
We have changed the trunk card..not it. The backplane...solved it for a few hours. Processor had a OBF.

Hello All,
I am going to try the trunk card w/daughterboard & processor change again, new ones. Starting with the Trunk card - Test - if no change then the processor - Test, if no change...put a Samsung iDCS100 R2 on the damn wall! OOOPS venting again......this tactic is to check for OBF on previous boards. 07:00 EST date with the #@*^&%)*! system.
Thanks to all!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, yeah Bunny too.

In your subject you say dk424/280 Toshiba items.
In your text you say NEC 280 .

Check line 5 before it plugs into the RCOU with a butt set and see if the problem still remains. If so, check at the demarc with the jumpers pulled to see if it's a network issue. Release 3 had problems that might be fixed by upgrading to 4.
