I just installed a DK280 that was pulled out from an old location with all phones working according to the customer. I followed, or tried to follow, the instructions for installing one of their DSS consoles and its not coming up. I hear digits being dialed from the DSS, but no lights are on it. Exactlly how is a phone associated with the console? Program 29 is a little confusing and I'm not having much luck. Any help would be appreciated.

1- Make sure that the attendant phone and dss are on the same card i.e port 000=200 and port 007 =dss .
2- That card should be code 64 in prog 03. Any changes in 03 requries simulated or true off/on.
3- Then program #29 to assign buttons to dss program spkr -1 for dss # 1 and 1 for first group of buttons on dss,Think of the dss as 3- 20 button sets group 1-2-3 and your putting buttons on them ,just like in prog 39
