Hello,
I just took over an account that has a contact DK VM and I need to get an admin cable for it. It is a round connector unlike the voicebrick?

I don;t think you can use a plain null mdem cable as the connector on the end going to the VM is different. Try contacting Teleco. They were the manufacturers (I believe) and may be able to help you.

the connector looks like a mouse or keyboard or S-video connector.
I will try to contact Teleco and see if they can assist or also do a search for it...

Count the pins. A mouse cable has 6 pins, or places for 6 pins. What you have is probably a mini-DIN 5 pin cable. If so, it is the same as an Apple printer cable. That will go into the voicemail unit, but you need to custom wire the other end to a DB-9F connector to fit into the serial connector on your computer. For this you need to know the pinout, or buy a device that automatically figures out serial connections for you.
These sell for about $100 but are worth the investment. They were mentioned in other posts. They are called something like auto-serial.

Apple printer cables are 8 pin mini-DIN. Won't match to a 5 pin mini-DIN.

The Teleco part number is CDKCBL (Contact Graphical Manager Cable)

Just for future reference, I have one of these cables in stock, as well as the Contact Graphical Manager software (on 1.44MB Floppy) and manual.
