Hi all, here's the situ: We have a Perception Ex, and we use EKT6520-SD phones for the most part.

We have setup a phone with 2 extensions. Now, we want each extension to forward to its own voice mailbox. We know how to forward the main extension to voice mail, but when we try to do the 2nd extension, it overrides the first line, and all calls go to the 2nd vm box.

Is this possible, and are we missing something really simple?

Thanks for your help,
D

Yikes, Perception!!!

I'm afraid to even respond to this, but can you access the second extension by pressing the specific button on the phone and if so can you forward it to VM that way?

Yeah, that's what we tried initially. However, when we do that, it just replaces the existing CF-NB rule in the phone.

I was starting to think that we might need to program the extension in the Perception, rather than in the phone itself.

Your guess is as good as mine. I've never been exposed to programming on a "deception" err Perception. However I am curious on how or if you can solve the issue.

If available, put the 2nd extension on an unused analog port and call forward it to the vmail. Then program a secondary appearance of it on the first extension.
