You may want to check out the thread list below, it touches on setting up mailboxes with no phones. I have set voice mailboxes starting at ext 218. These extentions would not exist in the ctx28/cix40 system itself, and my idea only works through the auto attendent.

Sorry, my post about was meant for the other question from NowAnyTime. Not sure how that happened.
Would like to know what extentions you are creating. And also would suggest using eManager instead of WinAdmin.

you need to build mailbox's to match the new extensions you built, I assume when you say they can't be reached from the outside you mean through the auto att.

My default, the CTX-28 creates mailboxes 200 to 217. You will not be able to create new Voicemail boxes with CTX winadmin.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to get eManager for a CTX 28. Emanager was designed for Software level 3.XX or higher. Not much benifit for SW 2.22 or lower.

The CD with WinCTX may also have XAdmin, which is for the voicemail. But to connect, you need a 6 wire phone cable, and a PPTC-9 (An adapter from DB-9 serial, to RJ-12).

Easiest way to create a mailbox, is to login to the voicemail as an administrator thru the phone.
