Hello,

Wondering if anyone can help me set up a dtmf driven menu system within the ctx28 voice mail.

I would like to have something like this:

thanks for calling press 1 for sales, press 2 for engineering press 3 for booking

from there i would like as follows
1- sales press 1 for John, 2 for Mary and so on

2- engineering press 1 for ED 2 for Rich and so on

3- you get the idea

Also by default 411 is the company directory, I would like to have this accessed with a single digit from the main menu such as: 1 sales, 2 engineering, 3 booking, 4 directory. is this possible.

I am a newby if you haven't guessed, issued the task of making this system work.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Tobey

This is way more than a newby should handle. PM one of the MODs and have them assist your off site. There will be a fee but well worth your time and a lot less hairloss. smile

assuming you have the vm admin program which and the ctx admin (winadmin) you have to do some programming in both in mb 990/991 you will have to go to alt G and enter the mail boxes you want the one touches to point to,

and in the cix you will have to program phantom dns or multiple call groups to make them ring multiple phones.

definitly not newbie programming but maybe this will help you get started

good luck

Thank you very much for the advice givin. It was definitly enough to get me up and going. I now have menus 1,2,3,4 in mb991. They lead to different depts. I.E. sales. I am able to get the vm to work with press 1 for ed (using that one touch to transfer to his extension.) Can someone go into detail about phantom dns or multiple call groups. I would like the one touch #'s to point to a group of extensions.
Thank You!
