Does any one have any suggestions as to what we might do to add a cordless phone to our phone system???
We have a DKT2000 Strata phone system, with 4 incoming/outgoing lines. I would like to have one phone that is a corldess that lets me "wonder" around the office and still hold, transfer etc. My headset is just as annoying as using the phone at my desk, since I always have to run back to my desk to transfer, hold, etc. It doesn't have to be a cordless that takes place of the main phone on my desk, it could be any on of the other extensions I use on occasion through out the office. I've looked and can't find something that might work??? Any suggestions??
Cleary confused!

Toshiba makes a digital cordless phone that can be a stand alone or used with your desk phone (same extension). You should contact your local Toshiba dealer to help with the decision.

Which system do you have DKT2000 are the phone types not the system , is it DK 8,16,40,280,424 or CTX/CIX, almost all of Toshiba's systems have the ability to add analog stations, there are some limitations on what you can do with analog extensions, without having to dial a bunch of codes.... the digital cordless TadiranTechTexas is talking about would work just fine , It has 4 programable buttons , hold , transfer & a display, if I remember correctly they were alittle pricey..

Last I knew the cordless (DKT-2304) was about 1.5X the price of a desk phone.
With 4 outside lines, we usually program an intercom key, 2 pooled line keys and a line pickup key (one-touch FK01#700), otherwise you lose either intercom or line 4.

I'm glad you posted that, Joe! I was trying to figure out how in the world to select an outside line on the DKT-2104.
I have four lines on my DK280 system, and on the handsets, I pick up the phone and then press one of the top four buttons to activate the corresponding line. Do you know how I can get my cordless to behave the same way? Right now, the only way I know of to select an outgoing line are to hit the intercom button and press #7001, #7002, #7003, or #7004.
Right now, the first button is intercom, and I don't know if the other three are programmed. I do have a user guide for the 2104, but I can't figure out how to change these buttons. I would assume it's a pretty popular function for those buttons, so I'm betting that people have done this many times.
Thanks!
Luke

imekul - There are only 4 buttons. The first is intercom, the others need to be programmed. Call your Toshiba dealer....he will be glad to help.
