I have recently reassigned some extensions to different ports. I am finding I have a couple extensions that will not ring from external sources. (after what seems like the normal ring time the caller is sent to the proper voicemail). Internal calls ring the phone fine... Have you ever had this problem? I tried comparing station settings to an extension I know works, they seem indentical.

Any clues??

Thank you

Program 81 for day ringing & 87 for night ringing

The programing will follow the port number not the extension number

Steve,

Thanks for your reply. This user is on an analog phone. Can we do this from the DKAdmin program, or must it be done from the phone. How? We are very new at programming the system (usually have someone dial in and do it).

Thank you

DK Admin or the phone, you may want to call who ever services your phones system if your not very familiar with programing.

I have done simple programming such as assigning voicemail boxes, forwarding, etc. But I'm not going to shell out hundreds of dollars for something that I assume is quite simple... If you don't have time for it, its okay.

A system reset may be in order here.

Would you mind sharing how you got it to work? I'm in a similar situation here with a CTX phone system, have a DK3010-SD that can receive internal calls on the extension, but when you dial it from an outside line, you get nothing at all - no ring, just complete silence until the call ends on it's own about 20 seconds later. Voice mail does not ever pick up on this phone either.

Ok, I was able to get it to receive external calls by going into DID and found that this extension had been set up to send outside calls to another number. I plugged the extension number into "Audio Day1 Dst Digits", "Audio Day2 Dst Digits" and "Audio Night Dst Digits". Voice mail is still not picking up on either internal or external calls - even though her voice mail box is set up.
