I have a Strata DK 280.
I have notes from a former IT person that in addition to the normal voicemail box setup a 8000 series voicemail box has to also be setup. Does anyone know what this means or how to do this?

What this is supposed to resolve i swhen the msg light is on, you can press that msg button and get right into your mailbox. Right now, all it does is go to the default company message to which you press * to get into the mailbox area.

Only the former IT person would know forsurewhy there was a 8000 mailbox made.

What kind of voicemail is it , Strata DK-280 is the phone system. The #656 & 657 codes SSPhone is referring to will ony apply if it is a Toshiba voicemail, the 91 & 92 will be different .

Also make sure you have phone forwarded to voicemail . #604 for BNA, #603 for NA , #601 for All calls

Also, is this system-wide or on one station?

I am pretty sure it is also Toshiba voicemail system. when I go to the program it does show Stratagy Admin V VSA.32.

System-wide. No phones dial directly into voicemail, but I am told by a few of the long-timers here that they used to.

Could it be pssible that you have a Right Fax device and are using 8000 series Mbx's for fax?
