The also have 10 and 20 button phones but the display is not that big. The phone is actually about half the size of the existing phone in height but it is a little wider. Picture does not do the phone justice in my opinion.

It looks kind of chunk, square, low tech. I hope it is only a beta test or maybe the Non-US version

It does appear to be a fairly typical attempt to look like a Cisco phone. Why is every manufacturer trying to do this? Shouldn't they be trying to look more professional? I am sure that it's due to the fact that it probably takes years to get Asian manufacturing plants actually delivering, so this product was probably developed 2-3 years ago.
I have always been a fan of the 20XX series of Toshiba phones myself, especially the charcoal ones. Straight and to the point. Just like the original Merlin phones. No stupid international symbols. The button said "MUTE", not some silly thing with a slash through it. My wife is pretty tech-savvy, but she doesn't know what the electronic symbol is for a speaker, yet that's another one that I'm starting to see on buttons.
My concern is that once again, the manufacturers are getting back on that "wacky handset bandwagon", so that no third-party products can be used with their phones. I wouldn't have a problem with this if all manufacturers covered all of the special needs issues, like handsets with noise canceling, amplification, etc., but they don't. When they come out with a handset that is shaped like an avacado, we are very limited in the support that we can offer these phone models.
Sorry for the hijack.
