Okay - yeppers! Us again! Tried again to turn on the auto answer option. What I'm trying to do is when the phone rings, there's one extension that they have to push the button to answer (the light is red). We want him to be able to just pick up (light green). Port is 013, under program 32 it is 111 and program 16 all lines are enabled. I must be missing something. Thought I'd try here before calling tech support. I know there is a way, they have done it here before, but the person who did it is no longer employed here. Any suggestions.. Yes, I know... call tech. Any other suggestions then that??? smile Thanks!

the phone must ring to have ringing line preference, so make sure that phone is set to ring in program 81 for day and 87 for night.

Thank you. I did check 81 & 87 & all looks good. I also called Tech, and he can't think of anything either as to why he can't get it. Perhaps I'm phrasing it wrong??? For example, when my phone rings, the line that is ringing turns green, and all I have to do pick up my receiver, and the call is there. On his phone, when the phone rings, his light blinks red, and he has to hit the line button that is blinking to answer the call. That's what we want to eliminate. We want him to be able to pick up his receiver and the call be there?? If tech support doens't know and no one here has any idea, I'm lost!!

Sounds like a repeat of a similar post....

1. Make sure that the proper lines are on the phone in prog. 39

2. Make that port is programmed to ring on those lines in Prog. 81-87, like Steve said.

3. Make sure that station is allowed access on those lines in prog. 40.

4. Let us know..............

make sure you are programing the correct port, look in program 04 to verify. System may not be square.

Thank you all for your help. I have verified the port, I have verified 81-87, 40, 41, 16, and I have even called tech support and he went through them all with me again. Plus a few others. I have even compared port 013 with my port 000 and they are all the same. And still no go. Is it possible that the phone just won't do it? Though that doesn't make sense because every other phone will and they're the same... Hummm... I guess I'm out of ideas. And yes, Voyager, it is a repeat post, because I haven't been able to get anywhere with it. And if any of you have read any of my earlier posts, you know I don't call tech unless I have to. LOL... Well, I called tech and still didn't get anywhere. Grrrr!! There has to be a way. I have to be missing something in one of the programming keys... Hummm.. But hey everyone. Thanks anyway!!
