We have 4 cabinets on our CTX 670, and I was looking for a free DKT port the other day. So I went to the Program that lists the "PDN Table View" and selected ALL ports, and then I sorted them by Equipment number. We then went through the list and checked each card for ports that have been removed or missed.

We found three DKT PDN equipment numbers that were not assigned according to the PDN Table View. When I say that I mean that they are just not listed.

I chose the first one and attempted to set up my extension 410 to the PDN equipment number 020301.

I received this error message when I clicked submit.

CTX Error: (0x310b01) Facility=0, Severity=0, Command=200, Error Code=49, Data=1
The selected PDN(s) conflict with existing PDN assignments for the selected circuit.

I got this same error message for the other two as well. I checked and the extension 410 is not used, and according to the PDN table view those three PDN equipment numbers are not used.

So far I have reset the power on the CTX in the off chance that it was hung up. That did not help.

Where else should I look, or what should I try?
Do you need any other information?

Thanks!

Those ports may be used for DSS units or doorphones.

We have two DSS units, or maybe three, I will have to look. I'll trace the wiring back and check it out.

So what you are saying is that even though the DSS is assigned to a port they do not show up in the PDN table view. Is this because they only allow one listing per PrimeDN?

Thanks.

So I was thinking about tracing the wiring and it occurred to me that there must be a way to assign a DSS to a DKT phone. I pulled up the WinAdmin, looked at the two receptionist's telephones, and there is a DSS button that allows you to assign an equipment number to the phone as a DSS. These equipment numbers matched the ones I was trying to track down.

Thanks for your help.

The best way to find un-programmed or unplugged ports is under Utilities-->Maintenance-->Cabinet. Check your slots for anything that says "not exist" or "disabled by fault-DO". The first one means there is nothing programmed on the port and the second one means the phone is unplugged. BDKU's come up as card type 018 and BSTU's come up as 002.

Thanks for the tip. I will keep this in mind.
