Welcome to the board!

The part number you supplied is for an expansion cabinet that works on the DK424i and the CTX/CIX 670. Is it attached to a base cabinet model CHSUB672?

The processor card is in the base cabinet. Power down the system, pull the processor (far left card) and let us know what the part number is.

It makes a huge difference in the answer to your question.

Thanks for the welcome Voyager!
you are correct in you guess on the model number of the base cabinet it is CHSUB672F

the far left board in my bottom cabinet is called a B3CAU1F L9 1074 LNZ296 this number is printed on a white sticker with a bar code to its left .It is connected to the card to its right via 2 ribbon cables .This board is called a B3CBU1F L9 1094 LNZ297 this number is also printed on a white sticker with a bar code to its left .Hope this helps!!

Program 91-9 will initalize the system to its default settings

You might want to get a Toshiba dealer to do this for you , since you said you were a novice.

Steve's right. That is a Strata DK424i. Not easy to program if you've never done one.

Thanks for your advice guys, i`m not looking to re-program it and it is not in use. I just need to erase the config so i can move it on . A customer of mine have just upgraded from this Toshiba to a new system so it was surplus to requirements. I come from a Cisco router/switch/data back ground so i`m guessing the procedure for wiping the config won`t be much different .the only thing is that I don`t have the password or console cable so I was hoping there was some way of manually removing the config by moving a jumper on the main board etc or hitting a reset button. There are some RJ11 ports I`m guessing looking at the ports one of these may be a console port I just need to know what cable type and pin-outs would be .
As I got the system for nothing if I break it it doesn’t matter!!
I`b be grateful for any help!

There is a battery strap on the processor card, power down system, remove card, move strap from on to off , install card , power up.
