We just recently had our CIX670 system installed (moving over from a Panasonic system). The vendor that installed our phone system used their laptops to configure our system via eManager just fine.
I've tried several different methods for installing the eManager software on my machine. I've got Windows XP Pro, IE6, Management/Monitoring tools, and IIS all installed before running the installer. I've also logged in as a local administrator to the local machine (not a domain account). Now I've finally got it installed after many attempts and having the msiexec installer completely hang on me several times, but now I've run into another issue. I can get logged into eManager as the Administrator account; I've added my system into the equipment profile and assigned the Class to the Admin account. But when I go to "select equipment" to connect, I get an error saying it failed to find the system (even though a ping command responds fine).
The vendor's IT guy walked me through several things, and we discovered that the local "eManagerUser" account used by the local IIS installation didn't exist. He said that it's supposed to be created during installation, but somehow it wasn't. I've tried several uninstall/reinstalls all with the same result. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas of something I could be missing?
Thanks,

We tried creating that local account manually and editing the IIS config to use the account, but I just ended up with a different authentication failure when trying to log into eManager. The thing is, if the installer didn't create the account correctly, there's no telling what else it didn't do.

The problem lies with the SNMP (I think that's right) files that also need to be loaded for eManager to work. How are you loading eManager? I know I have downloaded it directly from the Toshiba website for the few clients I have doing theri own changes etc. with no problem. The other option, as mentioned above, is to delete the version you have now and load eManager (it will be an earlier version) to yoru machine, then have the delaer download the most current version from the website.
Toshiba stopped sending the disks with new systems awhile ago so hoepefully yoru delaer will have one to help you out here.

Our dealer just had me download the installer from the ToshibaFYI dealer-only support site. It's the latest version, as of a week ago.
Anyways, I got the software installed on another XP machine. I don't know if something was hosed up on my machine or not, but I did get it running and connected. Of course it's not installed on the machine I need to keep it on, but I think I can work that out now that I've got at least one successful installation.
Thanks for all of the help. I'll update this post for reference if I find out any more information on what went wrong.
