Hi have issue with configuring Toshiba IPT2010-SD phones. We have our IP card connected outside our firewall with a public IP.
I am unable to connect to the IPU or even register with it from the 2010's at our users home. I even took one to another customer site, and even with the correct public IP address for the phone system it would not connect. It does get the proper IP from the DHCP server, proper gateway etc.
I get the message saying it is trying to register, then searching for IPU and that is it.
I have tried setting the phone to DHCP, and fixed private IP addresses with no luck.
When I connect a phone to the same public network that the phone IP card is attached to, give the phone the proper IP address, gateway etc. I am able to connect successfully.
If though we assigned a public IP to the card, I am unable to ping the card, I do not know if this is a configuration isse with the install or not.
Thanks for all the help.

Sounds to me like this is a configuration issue or an issue as to where the IPU card is connected. If what you say is true in that the IPU is a public IP and connected outside of your firewall, then there should be no problem pinging that address. No ping, no IPT.
