I can remotely get conencted to a CTX 670, but afer the user name etc. gets verified it never kicks over - I get a no response from device, btu my modem is still connected. Is that weird or amI having a rough week?!?! I beleive the modem is locked up but if that is so, why can I get connected in the first place?

I sometimes have the same problem. Set up another equipment profile in eManager called "Default Modem" or such and give it an IP of 192.168.255.254. So when this happens and you can still see that your modem is connected, try connecting via IP(uncheck "use dial-up") with this profile after you get the no-response. Sometimes I will be able to connect with this even though I am unable to connect with the original profile. You may have to modify the comm-name each time if you change yours from default.

Its a fairly common issue with the older releases of CTX/CIX. I believe its an issue with SNMP. I just have the customer reset the phone system when no one is on the phone.

I have tried several times and get the same result. They are running MH227 software. I am still waiting for her to reboot the ssytem to see if that works. I will update...
This is the first time I've seen this happen!

Remote programming is a big part of my job and I've seen this happen with CTX/CIX 100's and 670's with random software releases.

Pretty sure it's the same Admin lockup problem that has been around for some time now. You would have the same problem connecting locally or thru the modem. The modem connects but you cannot connect to admin the processor.
And I've seen the problem on new 4.XX software also! The latest release of 4.20 (and I assume 5.XX) is supposed to fix it. The 3.10 fix is still only on the beta site tho.
