I have recurring issue with our ctx-100 system. When the staff attempts to transfer to a certain users extension (201 in this case) the system is transfering the call directly to another users voicemail (in this case it is ext 206). It only happens on when transfering to ext 201. I do not know how the users could have inadvertantly caused this. The system has been in place for several years and I know it didn't always do this. At one point I did notice that extension 201 was having a problem where the message waiting light was on when there was no message (used #409) to clear that issue. Also notice that it shows CF-BNA 201-850 in the LCD. so if I read that correctly it should be going directly to 850 which is the voicemail. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

He didn't understand what you told him Steve.
chat what Steve was saying is if you are using DTMF signaling the phones need there ID code set he wasn't talking about the ext (DN) number. On the DK products you would use icm #65691 ext number redial but I think the CTX is a bit different. One of the MODs will jump in here soon to set us both straight.

How is the staff transferring call? Using a DSS key or dialing extension? Did you look at programming on CF and in mailbox? Check out also the below in addition to VMID: 19 VMID Code SMDI: Enter the voice mail box number that should answer calls when this PDN calls voice mail; or, when this PDN is called and then forwards to voice mail (this number is prefixed by codes in Program 579, 11~16) Possible values: Digits 0~9, * and #, up to 10 characters (default = no value). Note This VMID code is sent to the voice mail device in SMDI packets or DTMF tones on direct calls to voice mail from the PDN; and on calls to the PDN that forward to voice mail. See Program 580 for SMDI or DTMF choice.

SyPhoneChik.....the staff are dialing the extension. I did look at the extension is set to call forward busy no answer to the vm. the mailbox looks fine as well. However when I attempted to look into the issue this morning, it was no longer happening. Is it possible that the staff is somehow causing this? My knowledge of the program codes is pretty basic so I don't want to tempt fate too much. My experience has also shown me that when these really odd issues occur that it's the systems way of telling us it is old and tired. In which case we may need to call in the real pros. Thanks for all the assistance.
