Hi folks;

It has been awile since I have worked on any Toshiba stuff. I can not seem to remember how to make the * and the # active on the DK systems. I think that you have to have a system speed dial key programmed on each phone. I do not remember if anything needs to be changed in the class of service programs. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

Dave

If you don't have a speed dial key you can press *#* to use the star key and #*# to use to pound key,but as said I would program a speed dial key on the phones

If you have EKT phones remember you need to also program a redial key as well as a speed dial key to have the * and # to work without doing the *# code

Hello... we have a bunch of phones that have a "Speed Dial" button on the flexible button keypad, but one of our phones does not, and needs a way to use speed dial. The star and pound keys are not enabled... and I'm scared that if I try to program anything, the phone will blow up all over my face. Any suggestions?

Hello Carter,

Welcome to the board! If you could fill out your profile with some more detail, that would be great!

I would suggest you contact your local certified Toshiba dealer and they should be able to program this very quickly for you... it's literally a 5 minute change to add the speed dial key in programming... which will enable the * & # keys.

Can you give us more information on the exact system and phones you have? (i.e. - DK280 system with 2020SD phones, etc.)

Thanks!

Hi, sorry for the delay in the post... had to figure out my password again.

I have a DK280, and I've taught myself a bit about programming since my last post.

I have used program 39 several times to add speed dial flexible buttons, and it has worked like a charm--until now.

Recently, I moved a DID number to another phone, and that phone has several speed dial flex buttons which were (I believe) enabled before. The phone itself is a Toshiba 2020 SDK, and it has an enabled speed dial button with 497 in addition to other numbers. Oddly enough, the speed dial no longer works (I can't even get '*' to dial anything). I'm guessing it has something to do with the programming I did with the DID; however, I have verified the port this morning, and all buttons are intact with the phone, including speed dial.

Is there any reason this functionality pooped out? I don't know what else to do, other than enabling the speed dial button, as I have done with other phones.

Thanks!
