I have a dk40 installed at my house. I have 1 co line going into it wih call waiting. If somebody calls when I am on the phone I here the call waiting beep then the system hangs up the co line. Is there a way to fix this.

Are you saying that the call waiting beep disconnects the current call that you are on?

I think what you are doing is using the button used to hang up with as a flash key to get the next caller. You will need to program one of the other buttons on the phone as a short flash.

Yes you will need to put a flash key on each phone In prog 39 use code 499 for the key
You will also need to go into prog 12-4=1 and 12-5=1
When you here the call waiting beep press the new flash key to take the incomming call.

I have a flash button. When I hear the call waiting beep if I do nothing the systems hangs up the line.

Would the CO send a CPC with a call waiting tone?
Just for a test goto program 15 and turn off CPC detect. If you do not have Voice Mail it does not need to be on at all.
