Have a customer who uses Unified Messaging to receive faxes. This has been working fine for over a year. All of a sudden he is not getting e-mails from the Stratagy. His regular e-mail works fine. I have looked at the programming in the mailboxes and System Configuration. Nothing has changed.
Its been awhile and I don't remember how to set up a trace in the iES32. Any help will be appreciated. Call me.

Run Stratagy Trace on your PC. It connects to the Stratagy like the Admin. It should already be installed with the Admin software.
Look for SMTP messages. You can use the highlight feature in trace to see it better. Should be SMTP OK if message was sent to the SMTP server. If it gets lost from there then it may be someone elses problem.

There probably was some type of change with the port settings on their Mail server.. I've run into this all the time. Their mail service provider may have changed the name of the SMTP server and didn't tell anyone...

Update...... iES32 was using NUVOX.NET DNS servers. But the Internet connection to the outside world was on a Comcast cable connection.
Nuvox changed their DNS servers so that noone can use them unless they were on the Nuvox network. So I changed the DNS settings to the Comcast DNS Servers and now it works.
Thanks everyone for all your input. Tom, you are the King!!
Obviously, the regular e-mails worked because they were using the Comcast DNS the whole time....
