CTX100 R2.22 (currently in the middle of upgrade to 3.10)

Calls to 911 lock up the phone. After they hang up, I hear the CO return dial tone, but the CTX stays off-hook. The only to clear this is to unplug the phone that made the call.

Attendant has been removed, and Enhanced 911 has been disabled for test calls.

Why would the CTX hold the line open after 911 disconnects? This only happens on 911 calls.

.......OK Upgrade is complete. Currently at R3.10 MK050

Check public numbering plan, make sure that N11 is set for 3 digits or however many you are dialing. Maybe the CTX is waiting for more digits?

Thanks guys.

911 is disabled. Toshiba said to check for disconnect. No disconnect from telco. But that doesn't explain why going on-hook at the station still won't release the line. You have to unplug the phone to clear it. No matter which phone or line. They all act the same.

Are these Ground Start or Loop Start?

I know this is a stupid question but I have to ask, is the system Grounded?

If so, I would take a meter and put it on one of the lines and have the Telco tech there, Show them that you are not getting the Voltage spike to release...

Loop Start - Didn't look at grounding when I was there.

Telco wants to charge the customer $5.00 per line for disconnect. Plus almost $200 to activate it on 4 lines!

Customer said they can live with unplugging the phone..................

$5 per month... per line?
That really stinks!
$200 to activate... that's just wrong.

Will they activate it for 24 hours, so you can test and see if that cures all the problems?

Are there any other providers in the area, that won't charge for install and or charge less per month?

Skip - You nailed it! The customer is in Sebring.

She's ok with just resetting the phone........
