I am having a heck of a time getting connected remotely to any LVMU1A VM. This is the latest one out from Toshiba.

Anyone else having issues or know of different settings I need to have for this one?

Normally only works if your modem is connected to com port 1 or 2 on PC lvmu has modem built on much the same as CTX/CIX so therefore simple call to voicemail followed by dialing 993 will connect you to on board modem and consequently LVMU much the same as a Stratagy DK hope this helps.

Yes, I am on COM port 2. I can connect to any Stratagy DK and IVP8 VM, just not the LVMU's

No known issues on my end. Are you using UADMIN21? did you try another laptop? Try COM1.

None of the techs at my shop do dialup VM remotes. I can't seen to find any explicit instructions on setting up for remote access to a LVMU.

Do I need an external modem?
Do I need to do anything with the uAdmin modem init string?

You would only need an external modem if you don't have an inernal one. No, you shouldn't have to do anything with the dial string.

My issue seems to be with the line at the other end. Even tech support couldn;t get in, which leads me to believe there is somehting ont he customer end not allowing me to connect.
