Hi all.
This forum is great and I appreciate all of the awesome advice.

I am stumped on this one. I want to enable softkey integration on 2 QSIGd CIX-40s. Also, since integration is not working, I currently cannot see how many new and saved messages there are at a given extension. I went onto the FYI site, and the sample document demonstrates how to do this when an iES32 is the VM (which has a dedicated IP address). However, the centralized VM in my case is the GVPH card, and of course, there is no IP interface, just a serial (9 pin)interface.

How do you set this up in Program 801 where it asks for the VM's IP address? Is it the IP of the CIX-40 processor itself? Or perhaps the IP address of the IP card? Are there other considerations that make this a different setup than, say, 2 CIX-100s with an iES32?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Steve

Call tech support and ask for clarification.

I doubt that soft keys will work over stratanet using a GVPH because integration is through the backplane.

Thanks for your response, Shawn.

Just out of curiosity (since I am not an integration expert), if what you say is true, would end users not be able to see the messages display like "1 NEW / 2 SAVED"? All I can see is something like "CALL 200-77V" (where 77 is the Pilot Number to all of the VM ports). Or is that a function of something else? Any idea on how to get this new and saved messages display to work?

Thanks again.

To clarify the above question...only users on the remote end of the StrataNet network (where the GVPH card is NOT located) do not see this.

Users on the system that actually houses the GVPH voice mail card do see this new and saved messages display.

Oh, I just thought of one more thing ... Will Call Record also be unavailable on the remote node due to the potential lack of integration? It is looking like I may need to suggest an upgrade to a MicroMAS.

MicroMAS is your best option.

CALL 200-77v is just the voicemail letting you know that it left a message on your phone.
