Hi, I'm learning the CTX100 system and am just having a dandy time trying to program the system. I'm more familiar w/ Avaya and NEC systems. My current problem is to fix the auto-attendant to go back to my day/night mode (mailbox 990 & 991). Right now all calls goes directly to mailbox 400. I don't know how to change it back! Help. The company that sold us this phone charge us an arm and a leg to make the changes and it never worked right in the first place. I have some other tasks that I would like to do on this phone. If someone can be my sidekick and help me with programming this phone system, I will be forever in your debt. I learn pretty fast. Call me at 530-848-0820 Thanks in advance.

You can change ringing in DIT or DID programs (depending on your incoming sevice) using the admin software.
If it never worked right in the first place... they should come back out (or remote in) at no charge to do the programming correctly.
If you have no experience with programming this system... you should have an authorized technician/dealer work on it, this is past user level programming.

Can you provide more detail about how you want the phones to ring?
Thanks

Hey Tony, Thanks for your reply. That's the whole deal, the company that sold us this unit are charging us each time they come out and make a change. Each time they come out, the system get more and more messed up. Not only that, they didn't train any of the staff to make these what I think are simple changes. Maybe they're not. Sometimes one just have to learn the hard way. I'm the IT person for the company and I came on board after the purchase and installation of this phone system. So I've inherited this monster. The system is much more advanced then this office's current needs. The authorized dealer sold them a Cadillac when all they needed was a Corolla.
Ideally I would like the phone to ring at the receptionist ext (200) but would like any other ext to pick up the phone as well. If after 3 ring s and no one picks up, it goes to auto-attendant. And auto-attendant should have day mode and night mode. At the moment no one else can pick up the line but ext 200 so I know I have to program each of the other exts to be able to pick up.

That is a very common set-up and is not difficult to program.
If you are not satisfied with your current vendor, I would suggest calling and talking to the owner to explain what your current situation is.
Keep in mind that it is normal for a vendor (or anyone interested in making a profit in a business) to charge when a service is completed... but if that service has not been done correctly then there is reason for concern and if that vendor wants to keep your business, they will appease you.
