I got an IVP8. I'm trying to restore for a customer. I got the database and files backed up.
I'm trying to reload IVP8 with ROMDOS. When I enter the "format f: /s" from command line. I get a reply "FORMAT NOT SUPPORTED ON DRIVE F:". I've restored an IVP8 before but never had this issue with ROMDOS. Any response will be helpful.

Last I knew, you can not use romdos on a USB drive. The last time I did this was about 2 years ago, things may have changed. Then you needed a PCMCIA card adapter for your flash card, than romdos would format the flash card.

It appears that ROMDOS was written for MS-WIN98. It doesn't work properly with XP. I got an old laptop we have sitting around(we keep it just to have a system with WIN98). Formatting is done and restoring the files looks good.
Testing the IVP8 is underway.
