Make a long story short..
I have an ext 582 that when you call directly it rings to ext 222.

Ext 222 is an analog line and 582 is digital.. not that it matters. I believe we did use prog 04 to swap these 2 extensions so 222 would be on the analog line about 3 years ago instead of 582.

I have checked Prog. 04, 656, 657, 604 on the 582 ext. the logical ports match, and 604 is forwarding to our voicemail as it should. If you call our main line and transfer to ext. 582 it works!, just direct calls to 1582 are forwarding to 222. I have been working on this for days and just can't seem to figure it out the typical stuff doesn't work. Unless...

Could this be in our Stratagy software? Which I am not an expert on.. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to check the DID table to make sure 1582 is not pointed to 222.. More than likely when you did the swap, the table doesn't change.

What system do you have? 424 or CtX/CIX?

Ok.. Ran Program 71 Spkr 0 024 and get DNIS # 555

Spkr 0 042 and get DNIS# 584 ..?

This actually matches documentation from years ago. Logical port 24 is now ext 582 and port 42 is ext 222.

Not sure if the DNIS are suppose to match the extensions but if they are then our table is a mess! Like I stated before if you dial 582 internally you get logical/physical port 24 but if you dial 1582 you get logical/phy port 42.

Hopefully I am explaining this clearly.
Much Appreciated.

No, your tables do not need to match your extension numbers, just nice if they do. prog 71-4 is where you could store a voice mail ID code for that DID. Normally you do not want to use it, however if you do, any calls to that DID will forward to the specified voice mail box.

2nd thing.

Voice mail ID codes are picked up from the originating DN. example if you call ext 222 and it forwards to ext 582 and then forwards to voice mail it will go to the mailbox you entered in #656 for ext 222.

mj - your right about the tables it would be nice if they matched.

I tried prog 71-4 to no avail.. I even found a previous post about just deleting 71-4 and that did not work as well.

Tried 71-1 - but could not find anything their either.

I would think it would be 71-1 because it is only a direct dial problem. internal calls work fine and voicemail works fine for that ext 582. Its just when you call 1582 you get a different ext. 222

I looked for a possible switch in the DID table but have not seen evidence of one.
DNIS 024 DNS # 71-0 is 555 DNIS 085 71-4 5552
ext 582

DNIS 044 DNS # 71-0 is 546 DNIS 0001 71-4 5462
ext 222

I really appreciate any help as this is taking several days now and I usually don't struggle this much! Any chance you have to report the 424 after making changes and what is the easiest way to do this?

We can consider this closed. I found an error in our DID table were the two DNIS 71-1 were missing.
