The problem is actually a CTX/CIX issue. If the CTX/CIX is on the latest s/w that should problem should go away.

Updates are available to dealers on Toshiba's FYI site. The lastest is R5.20 MT009

when you use emanager do you log out or hit switch equip. or do you just hit the "x" in the corner! we used to have the same problem that everyone else did, we found out that if you log out or switch equip. the problem went away! the systems sits there and waits for your command and after some time it would lockup the nic card. If you do it my way it never happenes! try you will be shocked

I heard someone else say that too. I have ALWAYS seen the problem on a system connected to a Stratagy ES or IES using SMDI through the LAN. I have never seen it on a system with any other type of integration.
I have seen it on systems were the customer has emanager access, and also systems that they do not. It happens to same systems a lot, and others not at all.
Now you could say that the common setup is that the CIX NIC is on the LAN when using LAN SMDI, while other systems are not connected.
So it may contribute, but I doubt that is the only cause. Besides, that would have been easier to reproduce and Toshiba should have found a fix much sooner then they did.
When I was with a company that worked on Mitel, I remember them saying that if you exit without loging out 10 times (I think) you will be completely locked out and must reboot.

And I know you only get Soft keys using Stratagy ES, but the admin port also locks up at the same time. That only happens when connected to a Stratagy ES or IES.

I have only found the problem to be on the older processors. The original BECU/BEXU. I think that was there name and the BCTU1A's. I have never had the issue on a BCTU2A. Toshiba released upgraded software that was to take care of this, however they still seem to lock up.
Note I have never had the issue on a 100 only the 670's
However I am going to try mrfixitcts's suggestion.
