We have a user sitting over in a customer's office on a contract for the next several months. We've got an IP phone for her to use there, but obviously the firewall needs to be correctly configured at the customer's site for the phone to work. Is there a defined set of UDP/TCP ports that need to be permitted for that phone to work? Right now, it's just configured with default settings.

First try plugging in the IP phone at the remote site and see if it works. You may not need to open any ports. But if you still need a list of ports, PM me.

The main problem I'v ehad with an IP phone at a remote site is the SPI firewall. I have not fowarded any ports for an IP phones to make them work. I have had one location that had a restictive outbound firewall. They just set it to allow all traffic for the phone.

On the IPU (PBX) side, you may already have it configured but it can not reside behind a NAT firewall.

The IPT(RAS/MEGACO)UDP ports, which shows the entire TCP port range above, is a dynamically assigned port whis is by default 45152 and 49513.

Also, those ports are when connected to an LIPU or MIPU. The BIPU uses different ports.
